Patents: about 100 inventions (over 440 patent applications and 70 granted patents from which 41 are US granted patents, and 60 US patent applications, not including recent provisional applications ).

Students:

Since joining The Hebrew University, SM was/is the advisor of 84 M.Sc. students, 26 Ph.D. students, and over 20 Post-doctoral fellows.

 

Industrial Impact:

Based on the inventions and research, many commercial activities evolved, which led to various licensing agreements, worldwide sales, and the establishment of new start-up companies.

Among them are:

 GlassJet inks (Dip-Tech), Thermosolar coating (BrightSource Energy), Silver nano-inks ( Nanodimension, XjetSolar), Nano photoinitiators (IGM and Sigma-Aldrich), High-performance polymers for 3D printing (Noga 3D), 3D printing of wood (Daika), Copper inks (Amat Singapore), 3D printing multi-materials (Polyfos), Nanodroples (Granalix), Dead-Sea Gel and Dead Sea Nanoparticles (Ahava), Sunscreen microcapsules (Sol-Gel Technologies), Lice repellants (Phoenix), Natural formulations (Mother’s Choice), Nanoparticles for cosmetics (Tagra), Cannabis oil powder (Cannapowder), Transol (printed transparent solar cells).
